About

Brazen. Wholehearted. Disarmingly Present.

About Us

We work with aspiring and senior level leaders in life-changing one-on-one and group settings to increase self-awareness, identify and strengthen leadership identities, and cultivate a powerful, authentic leadership presence that increases confidence, clarity, and ability to be intentionally and joyfully disruptive.  We most enjoy working with change agents and activators who want to challenge the status quo and create a more just world. To that end,

  • We are unapologetically committed to social justice and human potential;

  • We support social innovators and disruptors from every industry, from education professionals to environmental conservationists, from conscious capitalists to political hopefuls;

  • We envision a world in which women and people of color are equally equipped and positioned to make important decisions in the corner office and the Oval Office;

  • We envision a world in which women and women of color make up the same proportion of senior leadership as we do the population;

  • We envision a world in which people, especially white men, are supported in, and held accountable for, holding their privilege responsibly;

  • We envision a world in which all leaders are able to bring their whole self to work, lead responsibly, cultivate calm power, increase self-awareness, and intentionally sustain health, home, and happiness.

Founder, leadership coach

Sharon Podobnik Peterson

Growing up just above the poverty line in a blue-collar town outside Pittsburgh, Sharon spent her early years acutely aware of the impact of education. She began her career at Teach for America, and quickly moved up in the ranks to become Director of Academics at a charter school in Washington, DC. While Sharon’s work felt meaningful and fulfilling, she found herself in a state of perpetual burnout. She began questioning the expectation that women sacrifice their personal well being for the sake of others, at the cost of their own health, finances and happiness.

Sharon now coaches exceptional social impact leaders and game changers through The Center for Conscious Leadership, and through her position at Johns Hopkins University’s Graduate School of Education. Her approach bridges courageous action with radical self-compassion, all rooted in the belief that we already have everything we need within to achieve our fullest potential.

When she’s not teaching or coaching, she’s writing at a local coffee shop, exploring the world with her husband, Mark, or reading with her spunky kitty, Annie, in Seattle, WA.

“Sustainable change is only possible when we learn to break free from societal expectations - an education that most of us never receive.”
